Mary Beth West (’94) went to the College of Communication determined to make a career in public relations and today counts herself lucky to have entered a field that suits her so well. After working in the industry for a while, Best built her own public relations firm that she eventually sold to Kelly Fletcher, CEO of Fletcher Marketing PR, in 2018. West continued working as a senior strategist for the firm, and both women have become increasingly involved in the Public Relations & Communications Association, with Best serving on the organization’s global advisory board and its global ethics counsel. “Being named a PRCA Fellow is a true honor,” Best said.
